BMSC Graduate Student Society

About...

the people: The graduate student population at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre is composed of a diverse group of individuals from the five member universities, and from universities around the world! Our numbers are at the peak during the summer months, but there are generally graduate students on station year round.

the membership: The BMSC Graduate Student Society is free and open to any graduate student working on station.

the research: Graduate students have many exciting and original research projects underway at the BMSC. Check out some of our projects and research organisms.

the activities: We provide a number of services for the greater marine station community, with the central aim of promoting a cohesive scientific, educational, and social environment. Click here to link to the "R" Workshop page.

TA-ships and funding opportunities: BMSC graduate students make up the majority of the Teaching Assistants for summer and fall courses. If you are interested in becoming a BMSC TA, click here. Financial assistance in the form of scholarships is also available for current and prospective BMSC graduate students.
