My research interests lie in processes that generate divergence within and among populations, and how selection and historical events contribute to population differentiation and speciation. I started my science career as a marine ecologist (MSc), then studied the population genetics of natural guppy populations across North East South America for my PhD research.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow working with Dr. Brad Anholt, Director, BMSC. We are studying the evolution of sex ratio variation among Tigriopus californicus populations at
the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre (BMSC).
I completed my PhD on the population divergence and sexual isolation among Poecilia
reticulata populations at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, under the
supervision of Dr. Felix Breden, and the guidance of the FAB* Lab. |
