College and University Groups

The days are packed with field trips to beaches, boat trips, experimentation and observations in the laboratory, and presentations about marine science.

Every year the BMSC Public Education Program welcomes many university and college groups on field trips as part of their home institution courses. The activities offered range from mammal and sea bird surveys to intertidal specimen collections to oceanographic measurements. The experiences offered at BMSC and the amazing diversity of marine and terrestrial habitats in Barkley Sound give students unique and practical field and lab experiences.
