Accommodation at BMSC

Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre provides year-round, on-campus housing for researchers, university students and visiting groups. All residences are within convenient walking distance of labs, lecture halls, cafeteria and foreshore.

	For Faculty and Researchers: Eight cabins and four studio suites located in wooded areas near the laboratories provide apartment-style housing for researchers and faculty. All the cabins are furnished and have fully equipped kitchens. A coin-operated laundy is located in the near-by cafeteria complex. Subject to availablity, cabins can be rented by visiting groups. 	For Undergraduate Students and Visiting Groups: Our newest residence, Buchanan Lodge, accommodates up to 98 people including those with disabilities. Rooms are comfortably furnished with bunkbeds, desks, washstands and are wired for high speed internet. 	The older Dormitory provides bunk-house style accommodation for 32 people. Each room is equipped with two bunkbeds with a shared washroom/shower facility for every two rooms. Common areas are furnished with sofas, desks and chairs. Coin-operated laundrys are located next door in the Buchanan Lodge and in the cafeteria complex.
