Measurements Guide
Exposed Temperature, in degrees Celsius (°C), measures the outside temperature including factors such as wind chill and direct solar heat.
Unexposed Temperature (Reference Temperature), in degrees Celsius (°C), measures the temperature excluding external factors.
Relative Humidity, in percentage (%), measures the quantity of water vapour in a gaseous mixture of air and water.
Rain, in millimetres (mm), measures the quantity of precipitation per hour.
Wind Speed, in metres per second (m/s), measures the speed of air movement relative to the BMSC
weather station. Multiply by 3.6 for kilometres per hour (km/h).
Wind Direction,
in degrees (North is 0° or 360°, East is 90°, South is 180° & West
is 270°) measures the direction from which the wind is blowing with
respect to the BMSC weather station.
Total Solar Flux, in watts per square metre (W/m2), measures the electromagnetic radiation of the sun on the BMSC weather station.
