How to access BMSC network shares in Windows Vista

Before connecting to our network with Windows Vista, there are a few things you must do before mapping shares to the internal BMSC network. These steps are as follows:

  1. First download the script below which will modify the registry key needed to allow network access. Note: you must right-click on the file and select "save target as" (Internet Explorer) or "save link as" (Firefox):

  2. Once you have downloaded the file, find the file (in the case below it is on the desktop). Right-click the file and click "Run as Administrator" as shown below in Figure 1. Windows will warn you about running something as an administrator. Click continue and you should be able to map network drives on the BMSC network. If you are unsure of how to map a network drive, please see the contact section at the bottom of this page.
